Pediatric Program

Program Goals:
Provide care in the comfort and security of the child's own
home, where they feel more secure.
Empower patients* and families to cope with the stress
associated with a medically fragile child by providing them
with information, education and psychosocial support.
Provide relevant educational opportunities for our pediatric
nurses to enhance their knowledge and clinical expertise.
Participate in community projects and programs oriented
towards the interest of the medically fragile child.

Staff Qualification:
The Kids Care team consists of nurses with pediatric backgrounds of varying types and must pass both written and practical pediatric specific competency evaluations prior to joining the team.
